Edouard Mendy becomes latest player to swap Chelsea for Saudi riches

Edouard Mendy is the latest player to move to the free-spending Saudi Pro League after joining Al-Ahli.
The 31-year-old left Chelsea for the Jeddah-based club in a transfer worth up to £17 million, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. Mendy’s new team doesn’t yet rival the star rosters at other Saudi outfits, with ex-Roma defender Bastos and former Swansea City winger Modou Barrow among the more recognizable players on Pitso Mosimane’s squad.
