‘High-risk’ Newcastle were ‘perfect all over the pitch’ in PSG win, says Ferdinand


“Rio Ferdinand says Eddie Howe and Newcastle United executed the “perfect” game plan to thrash Paris Saint-Germain 4-1 at St James’ Park on Wednesday. Goals from Miguel Almiron, Fabian Schar and local duo Dan Burn and Sean Longstaff sealed the historic win. “They were perfect all over the pitch,” Ferdinand told TNT Sports. “They played high-risk football, pressing football and it paid off.””
