Ireland vs. France Highlights | UEFA European Qualifiers

The Republic of Ireland and 2022 FIFA World Cup runner-up France faced off in Dublin for another UEFA 2024 Euro qualifier. France dominated the game from the jump, however Ireland did not put up an easy fight. Both teams initially struggled to get shots off and halftime arrived with a 0-0 draw. In the 50th minute, Benjamin Pavard knocked off a right-footed shot from outside the box to get France on the board. The energy picked up in the second half with both teams continuing to test each other’s keepers. In the 90th minute, Ireland’s Nathan Collins made a strong header attempt, but France goalkeeper Mike Maignan denied this equalizer goal with an impeccable save. France would go on to win the match 1-0.
