Report: AC Milan submit 2nd bid for Chelsea’s Pulisic worth up to €22M

AC Milan are trying to close a deal for Chelsea outcast Christian Pulisic.

The Rossoneri submitted a second bid worth up to €22 million for the midfielder Wednesday, sources told The Athletic’s James Horncastle. Chelsea rejected their initial €14-million offer last week.

Pulisic has already agreed to terms with Milan, according to Horncastle. The 24-year-old is reportedly prioritizing a move to the seven-time European champions after spurning an approach from Ligue 1 side Lyon.

Lyon made a €25-million bid for the captain of the U.S. men’s national team Sunday.

Pulisic, who’s out of contract next season, has struggled to realize the potential he showed during his formative years at Borussia Dortmund. He made just eight Premier League starts last campaign, scoring once.
