Singapore U-19 squad announced for AFF U19 Women Championship 2023


Former Lions’ forward Fazrul Nawaz names his final squad for the upcoming tournament next month



SINGAPORE, 28 JUNE 2023 – Twenty-three players have been called up to represent Singapore at the AFF U19 Women’s Championship at Palembang, Indonesia next month.


The young Lionesses have been drawn into Group B for the regional tournament, and are set to depart for Palembang on 4 July, where they will first face Vietnam on 6 July before playing against Causeway rivals Malaysia two days later. Both matches will kick off at 4.30pm (Singapore time) and will be held at the Athletic Field.


Former Lions forward Fazrul Nawaz, who was also the assistant coach of the senior Lionesses during their recent SEA Games campaign, has named a 23-player squad, who were selected through their participation in March’s AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 Qualifiers,
