  • Bukayo Saka has signed a new Arsenal contract running until 2030
  • The forward has become a central figure under Mikel Arteta and in England’s senior setup
  • Saka believes the coming seasons can deliver major trophies and lasting success

Bukayo Saka has signed a new long term contract with Arsenal that will keep him at the club until 2030, underlining his status as a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s project.

The England international had previously been tied to the club until 2027, but fresh terms were agreed this week following negotiations that began earlier in the year. The deal reflects Saka’s importance both on and off the pitch, with no player having logged more minutes under Arteta than the Hale End graduate.

Since breaking into the first team in 2018, Saka has developed into Arsenal’s most consistent attacking threat. He has scored 78 goals in 297 appearances and has established himself as a senior figure within a young squad that continues to challenge on multiple fronts.

Speaking to club media, Saka described the decision as a natural one.

“I’m feeling amazing. It’s a fantastic moment for my family and for me. I feel immense joy to continue my journey at this club. For me, it was an easy commitment and I just hope to win everything here,” he said.

“The journey I’ve been on, from where I started to where I am now, and the journey the team has been on, is special. I believe the next few years are going to be the years that we get over the line and win trophies. We are back where we belong, fighting for everything.”

Arsenal remain in contention across four competitions this season, with Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup ambitions still alive. The 2020 FA Cup remains the only major honour of Saka’s senior career, a fact that continues to fuel his motivation.

Now 24, Saka has also grown into a leadership role, wearing the captain’s armband on several occasions and acting as a reference point for younger players within the squad. His commitment follows recent long term renewals from key defenders William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, reinforcing Arsenal’s strategy of building continuity around a core group.

For Arsenal supporters, Saka’s decision offers reassurance that the club’s brightest talent remains fully invested in a project aimed at sustained success.
