‘Fairness was lost’ – Keown hits out at ‘competency’ of officials in Liverpool VAR error
“TNT Sports pundits Martin Keown, Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand all identified problems with the process that saw VAR officials and referees disallow Luis Diaz’s goal during Liverpool’s defeat to Tottenham. Ferdinand wanted to see someone take “ownership” of the situation while Keown noted that there was a problem of “competency” in how the decision was made and the game was allowed to continue.”
