Report: Man City to rival Arsenal with bid for West Ham’s Rice
Arsenal’s concerns over Manchester City hijacking their move for Declan Rice could soon be realized.
City are set to rival the Gunners for Rice’s signature this summer with news that the reigning Premier League champions are prepared to submit an offer for the West Ham United captain, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Arsenal have been in pursuit of the 24-year-old since the season ended, submitting a pair of bids that were rejected by West Ham.
The latest Arsenal offer, submitted earlier this week, was reportedly worth £90 million (an initial £75-million fee and £15 million in add-ons) – a club record for the north London club.
Arsenal are expected to table a third offer closer to West Ham’s £100-million asking price, reports
