Singapore moves to second round of World Cup qualification

Ticket sales for match against Thailand at the National Stadium to go on sale at noon on 21 October

 

 

 

SINGAPORE, 19 OCTOBER 2023 – After securing a 3-1 aggregate win over Guam in the opening round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 Preliminary Joint Qualification, Singapore will now advance to Round 2 which begins next month.

 

 

The Lions have been placed in Group C alongside China, South Korea, and Thailand and will kick off the second round of their World Cup and Asian Cup qualifiers campaign against South Korea away on Thursday, 16 November before hosting Thailand five days later at the Singapore National Stadium on Tuesday, 21 November. The fixtures will resume during March and June international windows next year.
