Singapore vs Papua New Guinea postponed

Match date changed to Friday 16 June 2023 with kickoff timing unchanged

SINGAPORE 14 JUNE 2023 – The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) informs that the FIFA Men’s A International Friendly fixture between Singapore and Papua New Guinea will be postponed to Friday, 16 June 2023 with the kickoff time remaining unchanged at 7.30pm (Singapore time).

Originally scheduled to take place on Thursday, 15 June 2023, the match fixture needed to be postponed as Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) notified the FAS today (14 June) that they were unable to travel to Singapore as planned. The players and team officials were due to arrive on Tuesday, 13 June but were informed by their national airline carrier, Air Niugini, that their flight had been cancelled. As Air Niugini does not have daily flights to Singapore, efforts were made to get the squad on alternate flights, however this ultimately was not possible. PNGFA have since confirmed that they will arrive in Singapore late Thursday evening, 15 June 2023
