Umairah Hamdan withdraws from Lionesses’ squad for Asian Games
SINGAPORE, 19 SEPTEMBER 2023 – Nur Umairah Hamdan has been forced to withdraw from the Singapore Women’s National Team’s Asian Games squad due to a Grade 2 MCL partial tear injury sustained during the Women’s National Team final friendly match last Saturday.
As a result, Head Coach Karim Bencherifa has decided to call up Mastura Jeilani from Balestier Khalsa as her replacement. The Lionesses are scheduled to depart for Hangzhou this Wednesday, 20th September.
We wish Umairah a swift and full recovery and look forward to having her in the National Team ranks once again.
