PFA awards: Haaland named best men’s player, Daly voted top women’s player


Manchester City striker Erling Haaland won the Professional Footballers’ Association’s men’s player of the year award on Tuesday, beating out teammates Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones, along with former Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka were also nominated for the award.
Haaland scored 51 goals, including a single-season record of 36 in the Premier League, during City’s historic treble-winning campaign. It was the Norwegian’s first season in England.
