USMNT forward Ricardo Pepi joins PSV from Augsburg for reported €9M

Ricardo Pepi will stay in Dutch football after last season’s impressive loan stint with FC Groningen.
The United States men’s national team forward joined 2022-23 Eredivisie runners-up PSV Eindhoven on a five-year contract Friday. PSV paid €9 million ($9.8 million) to buy him from German side Augsburg, ESPN reports.
Pepi, 20, scored 13 goals in 31 appearances for Groningen across all competitions last term. He’s also struck seven times in 15 caps for the USMNT.
The Texan cost Augsburg a reported $20 million plus add-ons to sign from FC Dallas in January 2022. He failed to score for the club in 16 appearances.
