Van Dijk handed additional one-match ban and £100,000 fine


“Virgil van Dijk will spend an extra match on the sidelines following his sending off in Liverpoolu0027s 2-1 Premier League win over Newcastle on August 27. Van Dijk angrily protested against his dismissal after being penalised for a challenge on Newcastleu0027s Alexander Isak. The Netherlands international was found guilty of using “abusive and insulting words towards a match official”.”
