Van Dijk hit with FA charge for acting in ‘improper manner’ after red card at Newcastle


“Virgil van Dijk clipped Alexander Isak in the 28th minute of Liverpool’s visit to Newcastle, with the home side already 1-0 up through an Anthony Gordon strike. The defender was given a straight red card for a professional foul, and the FA have announced that he has also been charged for acting in an “improper manner”, which could carry further punishment.”
