Casemiro - Leny Yoro Says Manchester United Squad Wanted Casemiro to Stay

• Casemiro confirms decision to leave Manchester United at end of season
• Midfielder has impressed recently under interim coach Michael Carrick
• Focus remains on securing Champions League qualification

Casemiro has confirmed he will leave Manchester United at the end of the season, despite an upturn in form under interim head coach Michael Carrick.

The 34 year old midfielder has been revitalised in recent weeks, scoring twice in his last three Premier League appearances as United climbed to third in the table. However, he has made clear that his departure, announced by the club in January, will not be reconsidered.

Speaking after Brazil’s defeat to France, Casemiro said he continues to enjoy his football at Old Trafford but accepts his time at the club is coming to an end. He acknowledged the support of supporters while describing the remaining fixtures as emotionally challenging.

Casemiro also praised Carrick’s influence since replacing Ruben Amorim on an interim basis, highlighting the benefit of working with a coach who understands his position. He credited the improved atmosphere and communication within the squad as key factors in the team’s recent progress.

United have won seven of their last ten matches and are pushing for a return to the Champions League. Casemiro said his priority is to help the club secure qualification before his departure.

The former Real Madrid midfielder will leave Old Trafford after four seasons and more than 150 appearances, bringing an experienced presence and multiple honours to a close in Manchester.
