Everton Set to Land Fulham’s Kenny Tete

Everton are in the final stages of securing right-back Kenny Tete from Fulham on a free transfer, with talks for a three-year contract progressing quickly.
With Ashley Young departing at the end of his short spell and doubts over the future involvement of veteran skipper Seamus Coleman, manager David Moyes looked to plug a key gap in his back line.
Tete, 29, has earned 14 caps for the Netherlands and his deal at Craven Cottage will expire this month. Although Fulham had intentions of keeping him, the Toffees have pushed ahead with a move.
After his arrival in January, Moyes experimented with options on the right. Jake O’Brien was preferred there consistently despite being recruited from Lyon as a central defender. Nathan Patterson also featured in that role.
Moyes sought a player with experience in the Premier League, considering names such as Kyle Walker of Manchester City, Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters, and Vladimir Coufal, who Moyes managed at West Ham.
But Tete, with time at Ajax, Lyon and five seasons at Fulham behind him, has emerged as Moyes’ leading choice for the position.
