Nottingham Forest Agree Club-Record £50m Deal to Sign Chelsea Striker Liam Delap

Nottingham Forest have agreed a club-record deal to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea, moving to fix a goal-scoring problem with a fee that could reach £50m. The transfer is worth at least £45m up front, with a further £5m available in add-ons, and Delap is set to have a medical on Wednesday before the summer window closes.

The move breaks Forest’s previous transfer record, set only twelve months ago when Omari Hutchison arrived from Ipswich Town for £37.5m in August 2025.

For Delap, the switch offers a fresh start after a hard first year in west London.
